Position Summary: 
The Hospital Rad physicist supports all clinical medical physics activities under the supervision of a faculty Medical Physicist. The incumbent assists the faculty medical physicist in clinical development projects and implementation of new technologies and procedures. The predominant aspect of these activities fulfill requirements of procedures relating to quality assurance in treatment machine performance and patient dose delivery to ensure that federal and state regulations are followed with respect to delivery of care to patients. The incumbent performs analysis and processing of acquired radiological data, including those resulting from radiation beam characterization measurements. The incumbent also performs calibration and maintenance of patient dosimetry systems, including TLDs and diodes, and maintains accurate and complete records of these activities.
 
 
Salary Range: 
 
Hourly Rate  Minimum   $82.75             Midpoint       $95.97              Maximum $109.19
 
Required Qualifications:
  
A Master's degree in radiation physics with five years of experience OR a PhD in physics or radiation physics with two years of experience.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
ACR accreditation support and review for all modalities
Must be proficient in functional MRI analysis
Required to have knowledge of MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine and PET CT
Certified in Diagnostic Radiological Physics or Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) OR Diagnostic Imaging Physics by the American Board of Medical Physics ( ABMP) OR Diagnostic Radiology Physics by the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM)
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
