Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Web Application Technical Lead for the School of Law, this position will provide programming support to set-up, configure, develop, deploy, maintain and train on various web-based applications developed or acquired to support the School of Law. Duties include: assisting with the creation of technical guidelines and strategies for the development environment of our web applications; providing suggestions on the best practice design, analysis, testing and maintenance of web based applications; assisting with installing, configuring, testing and deploying various software packages to reside on the web server; assisting users with procedural or technical problems; attending various functional requirements meetings to offer any technical limitations and enhancements when developing the web based applications; trouble-shooting software or hardware problems; advising users regarding the use of moderately complex software packages. This position will also need to determine various designs for a web site and will need to validate web pages for W3C compliance. This position will work in a demanding environment and must interact with a variety of technical and nontechnical members of the Law School and UCI community.

Two plus years of ASP.NET and C# programming expertise with knowledge of creating an enterprise architecture for web based applications is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Knowledge of other IT related areas. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Intermediate skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts. Experience with common programming tools. Knowledge of secure software development. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Demonstrated software repository skills.
