Position Summary: 
Responsible for supporting the patient care functions in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, (PACU).  Specific duties include but are not limited to: the stocking, cleaning, and set-up of patient care rooms (bays), maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and assuring that equipment is available and in good condition when needed.  In addition, assists with the transportation of patients, equipment, and supplies.
 
Salary Range: 
 
Hourly Rate  Minimum   $20.41                   Midpoint    $22.41                   Maximum  $24.40
 
Required Qualifications:
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Minimum six months relevant experience in a healthcare environment
Skill to perform basic mathematical computations, and to use general office equipment including computers, copiers, and calculators
Must be available to work overtime as patient care needs demand
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
 
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support(Required)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology
Previous experience as a hospital assistant
