Position Summary: 
The Assistant Burn Coordinator oversees the collection of burn patient data information relating to the UCI Medical Center Burn Service.  Will use the Process Improvement Structure to resolve identified problems and enhance burn patient care and burn systems operations.  Utilizes coding knowledge to abstract data from patient records for analysis and trending.  Participates in clinical education for physicians, nurses and pre-hospital personnel, as well as education to the public.
 
 
Salary Range:
Annual Rate  Minimum  $87,200.00                         Midpoint     $125,400.00                       Maximum            $163,600.00

Required Qualifications:
Good organization skills and ability to prioritize assignments
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in either the Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
Understanding of performance improvement processes
 
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support(Required)
Registered Nurse(Required)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of trauma registry usage and injury coding
MSN Degree
