Position Summary:
The Incumbent performs a variety of sleep studies to diagnose the type and extent of disorders. The Sleep Technologist works closely with patients to diagnose and determine therapy for patients with a variety of disorders related to sleep. Technologists record and score sleep data and prepare raw data for physician and/or research interpretation. Incumbent also has lead responsibilities for other Sleep Techs.
Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $43.78 Midpoint $50.77 Maximum $57.75
Required Qualifications:
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
BLS Required
3 or more years of direct patient care experience in Sleep Disorders
Registration through BRPT and the Medical Board of California as a Polysomnographic Technologist
3 or more years as an RPSGT
Must maintain minimum of 10 CECs/CEUs in sleep medicine annually
Computer skills appropriate to the job
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH)
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Bachelor's Degree in related field
