Position Summary: 
Under the supervision of the Director of Planning, Design and Construction this job includes planning, coordinating, and managing the physical space planning program for UCI Health.  This is comprised of administrative, support, outpatient, and inpatient spaces, inclusive of all UCI Health locations.
 
 
Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $78,900.00                Midpoint      $112,000.00                Maximum             $145,100.00
 
Required Qualifications:
  
Bachelor's degree in a field related to space planning and program management.
4 years related work experience required.
Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Good communication skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge and experience in planning and implementing the programming of administrative, support, clinical and acute care spaces.
Knowledge and understanding of Strategic Planning principles.
Ability to understand and interpret design drawings and construction documents.
Knowledge and experience in effectively supervising professional and clerical personnel
Ability to work effectively with UCI Health Leadership, Directors, Managers faculty and staff.
Good negotiating and analytical skills.
Knowledge and experience working in a Windows environment proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
Good interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Good listening skills
Knowledge and experience in space planning and basic drafting techniques.
Knowledge, experience and understanding of Medical Center procedures and funding policies with regard to capital improvement processes and programs.
Knowledge, experience, and understanding of UC hiring policies for consultants, design professionals and contractors.
Knowledge and experience in effectively utilizing Medical Center resources
Knowledge of current space utilization and utilization standards at UCI Health locations
