Position Summary: 
Incumbent fills an essential role in the overall success of UCI Health. Provides leadership and data analytic functions for UCI Health's Strategy and Performance Management teams as well as other departments across the organization to drive strategic decision making. Assesses and models complex business problems using related data sets and presents compelling insights to decision makers. The leader will collaborate with UCI leaders and external partners to understand and analyze data, provide guidance for planning, understand progress, and facilitate business decisions. This position uses state, health system, and other market data to provide insight, recommendations, and context for strategic decisions. Performs with a high level of judgement and discretion to define, develop and implement work related to data sourcing, availability, usage and application, to promote the availability and quality of strategic data across the organization.
 
 
Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $112,100.00                 Midpoint         $176,100.00                   Maximum             $240,100.00
 
Required Qualifications:
 
 
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong facilitation skills
Understands and has significant experience in the use of tools for process improvement to include lean methodologies, project management, change management, and other improvement techniques
Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project
Effective communicator able to understand the needs of a variety of audience members and tailor a message accordingly
Results-oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker
Analytical ability to develop, analyze and interpret application of data
Proven ability to quickly develop credibility with various/all constituencies
Demonstrates team leadership, motivational skills and good creative problem solving skills
Bachelor's degree
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Ability to maintain an organized approach, clarity of purpose, and goal orientation in a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders of various levels from throughout the organization.
Must be results-driven to drive quantifiable results
Understanding of business planning including analysis, budgeting, feasibility studies, and implementation.
Ability to plan, set expectations (for self and others), and accomplish multiple objectives within specific timeframes.
Proficiency in healthcare planning tools and databases (e.g., OSHPD, Sg2, Advisory Board, Tableau, etc.)
3-5 years experience developing and/or maintaining progress reporting scorecards or dashboards
Minimum of 5 years experience with Internal or external process improvement, management consulting or strategy consulting (or equivalent experience)
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Knowledge of healthcare market, government rules and regulations
