Position Summary: 
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Dietitian I is responsible for entry level formulating, documenting and implementing nutrition care plans.  Duties include conducting and documenting assessments, reassessments, consults, calorie counts, and Nitrogen balances.  Assists in the development and revision of hospital Nutrition policies and procedures. Participates in patient conferences and unit rounds. Monitors for potential drug nutrient interactions and education per department policy. Participates in process improvement and special projects.  Will attend interdisciplinary hospital committee meetings as assigned.  If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0-21, CCS paneling / approval will be required within 1 year of hire qualified for CCS paneling. Non CCS paneled dietitians will be supervised by the CCS paneled dietitian for the care provided to children aged 0-21.
 
 
Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $67,818.24             Midpoint       $74,437.20              Maximum             $81,035.28
 
Required Qualifications:
  
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Understanding of medical terminology
Registered Dietitian, or RD eligibility, with the American Dietetics Association. If RDE, registration must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment
Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic and normal nutrition, with the ability to develop care plans for patients
Willingness and availability to work overtime, holidays, and weekend as needed or requested
Must possess either a bachelor or graduate degree in a Nutrition related field
Ability to develop a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Must have working knowledge Microsoft windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one year experience as an RD in a healthcare/clinical environment
