Position Summary: 
PATHOLOGY AST 2
 
 
Required Qualifications:
 
 
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements relating to decedent affairs
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Thorough knowledge of gross room operations and specimen handling/processing techniques
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science field or equivalent experience/training
Current ASCP Board Certification
Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements for CAP, Joint Commission and California State laboratory law for Anatomic Pathology
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a UC and/or union environment
Experience in an Anatomic Pathology department
