Position Summary:
As champions for women’s health, our calling is to deliver clinically excellent, patient-centered, holistic and accessible obstetrical and gynecological care to the women of our community, advance the science of women’s health in a meaningful and applicable fashion and train the future leaders in women’s healthcare. Our department has a proud tradition of clinical excellence. It comprises nationally and internationally recognized leaders in maternal fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, family planning, and general obstetrics and gynecology.
The Assistant Clinical Research coordinator’s primary function will be the management of the day-to-day functions of the Refugee Reproductive Health Network (ReproNet). The incumbent l be a key member of the research team and will work closely with the Principal Investigator and ReproNet partners in the implementation of projects promoting digital health literacy on reproductive and maternal health in the refugee community. The incumbent will coordinate the development and translation of health education materials in Dari, Pashto, and Arabic, maintain the ReproNet membership mailing list, and coordinate communication via social media, e-briefs, and the internet. Finally, the incumbent will coordinate and/or facilitate group meetings with refugee women, and assist in the preparation of reports, manuscripts, and funding proposals related to the project. This position is a 50% position, located in Sacramento, California.
Compensation Range:
$25.70/hr - $32.31/hr

Knowledge and experience working with refugee population Working knowledge in Dari and/or Pashto
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience or master’s degree in public health or health sciences.
Experience working in a medical setting with physicians, and staff. Proficiency in maintaining calendars in Outlook, managing varying priorities, and scheduling meetings Demonstrated proficiency using software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint for word-processing and slide presentation. Demonstrated ability to use transcription software, Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and proofreading skills in English, Dari, and Pashto. Knowledge and experience working with refugee population. Proficiency in either Dari or Pashto with working knowledge in the other language. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate easily and effectively with people. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to exercise judgment, tact, and professionalism in interactions with colleagues, students, campus and non-campus administrators and faculty, business and community leaders, and representatives from other institutions and organizations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skill in writing and editing grammatically correct business correspondence such as brief memoranda and letters from written or oral instructions. Knowledge of proper typing formats including Bibliographies, charts, and tables. Ability to adhere to policies and procedures regarding the privacy of, and access to, patient health information in compliance with the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Account Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule.
Knowledge of designing surveys and administering surveys in REDCap. Working knowledge of UCI forms, policies and procedures, and KFS (Kuali Financial System).
Special Conditions Required:
Working hours are 16 hours/week and may include evening and weekend hours, depending on the availability of refugee populations. The position is Sacramentobased; and will consist of virtual work and in-person community meetings at the Sacramento Public Library and mosques.
