Under the general direction of the Director, Salesforce Architecture, this position will be responsible for Salesforce development and integration tasks by effectively utilizing Salesforce based integration and development technologies implemented within UA’s Salesforce environment. The position will understand business requirements, define solution architecture, create technical specs, design, develop, and implement solutions focused on the Salesforce platform solutions for University Advancement & Alumni Relations staff. The position will work closely with Salesforce Solution Architect, Salesforce Solution Engineer and Salesforce Administrators to ensure alignment of University Advancement’s custom development and integration needs with UA’s application architecture roadmap. The position will manage projects and cross-functional project teams on functional and technical design activities; defining the interaction between various Salesforce application packages, databases, and middleware systems to optimize functional coverage; acting as subject matter expert (SME) for UA’s Salesforce environment that require integration and custom development into the application. This position will work closely with other members of the DTI team and larger UA community to create Solution Designs, perform Configuration Changes, implement phased changes, run test scenarios, and investigate related issues through resolution. We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with internal stakeholders; understand their needs; and create scalable Salesforce applications that perfectly meet the evolving needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on and in-depth familiarity with Salesforce technologies such as Apex coding, Lightning Components, Visual Force, Salesforce Security, Declarative customization including the creation of Flow, Process Builder, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Workflow rules, Reports and Dashboards, MuleSoft, Sales Cloud & Service Cloud,. The candidate must understand integration concepts, CRM and related business models, have experience collaborating with stakeholders in multi-faceted roles, be detail oriented, and have strong communication skills.

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in salesforce administration and development • 3+ years of experience with Sales Cloud (Lightning) & MuleSoft.
- Prior experience working in higher education environment is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Experience developing and executing complex test plans. Extensive knowledge of Apex Classes/Controllers, Triggers, SOQL, SOSL, Process Builder, and Flows. Must have extensive experience in Apex Classes, Apex test coverage classes, Triggers, Rest/SOAP APIs, Web Services, JSON, OData, JavaScript, SOQL implementation Experience with integration development in MuleSoft platform. Solid experience in Visual force and Lightning framework (Visualpages, Aura, and Web Component) implementation. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to University Advancement and University business.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and adapt to changing needs of the department is critical. Exceptional customer service orientation and collaboration skills with ability to communicate information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills and a strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and to design solutions based on functional requirements. Advanced experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms.
- Advanced experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Advanced knowledge of secure software development. Demonstrated software repository skills.
- Excellent project leadership and management skills. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively, meet deadlines and set priorities while working with multiple projects and shifting priorities. Highly advanced skills associated with software specification, design, modification, implementation and deployment of large-scale scope. Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs. Demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
- Extensive experience in Salesforce declarative development environment including but not limited to items such as complex custom objects, declarative functionality, workflows, triggers, VisualForce, migration tools, and SOQL. Must be able to work with web development tools like Eclipse IDE, Visual Studio Code IDE, Git etc.
