Position Summary: 
Incumbent is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing all aspects of the Linen Department.  . Incumbent is responsible for development, implementation and ongoing success of department and related organizational objectives and goals. Manages expenses within operating guidelines, and develops and implements changes to operations to achieve budgetary objectives. . Develops and implements inventory policies and procedures, including recommending items to be stocked in inventory, purchase quantities, and inventory levels. Ensures standards of unit operations are in compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulatory agencies.

Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $95,300.00                 Midpoint       $140,400.00                Maximum             $185,500.00
 
Required Qualifications:
 
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously
Bachelors' degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, planning, and administration of a departmental budget
Ability to evaluate conditions of task assignments and make recommendations to improve, revise, and/or clarify systems, procedures, and policies, etc. to promote increased efficiency in assignments and department operations
Demonstrated work experience using an automated purchasing/inventory control system
Minimum five years previous working experience overseeing linen activities or related experience (procurement, inventory control, purchasing etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge of business subjects such as purchasing, inventory systems & controls, and/or accounting
 
Licenses and Certifications:
Driver's License(Required)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Understanding of JCAHO, DHS, and OSHPD regulations pertaining to medical supply storage and inventory controls in a medical center environment
Knowledge of hospital supply items and terminology
Knowledge of OSHA and other agency safety regulations
Work experience overseeing linen, scrub machines, and/or EVS activities in hospital setting
