Position Summary:
 
The Department of Medicine is comprised of 11 Divisions by Medicine Subspecialty. The post award team in the Finance unit is responsible for management of more than $29 million in contracts, grants and research funding. This centralized unit provides expertise and financial management for contracts, grants, and university allocations for research.
 
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Program Manager, the Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator supports the research efforts of several research projects, including regional projects and national clinical trials with the opportunity to interface with local and national level leaders in medicine and public health. Key responsibilities include duties related to coordination, including creating training and educational documents, data collection tools, protocols, recruitment or protocol scripts, interviews, qualitative data coding, surveys, and preparatory documents. It also includes coordinating meetings, including scheduling, and pulling together agenda and content for steering committee meetings. Additional responsibilities include data entry and creation of figures and graphs, and providing IRB support for drafts, submissions, modifications and progress reports. Duties will include interfacing with collaborators at participating sites.

$25.70 - $42.34 (Hourly Rate)
 
 
Required:
 
Minimum of 1-2 years of research experience preferred. Prior leadership and research experience with demonstrated independent responsibilities and activities.
Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in public health or clinical research.
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience. Biological or sciences, or public health degree preferred. Prior research experience with demonstrated independent responsibilities and activities Clear and professional communication skills; verbal and written Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with data entry skills. Experience in MS PowerPoint Conducts research protocols with critical attention to detail. Ability to analyze a problem from inception to completion and provide suggested solutions. Effective and professional interpersonal skills and writing Highly attentive to proper handling of confidential information and documents Ability to maintain accurate database files Ability to function well in a team environment
 
Preferred:
 
Experience in NIVIVO or MAXQA software Demonstration of coordination of clinical trials and/or complex epidemiologic studies. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing IRB protocols. Spanish language skills
