Position Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining research datasets and reporting using electronic health data – specifically from the Epic Clarity electronic medical records system. The incumbent will work on a multidisciplinary team of developers within the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department and will collaborate with other institutions across the University of California Health. The incumbent will use UCI Health software such as Tableau, SSIS, SSRS, Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic Radar, and the enterprise data warehouse to deliver high quality reports and datasets. The focus of this position is health research data for the UCI Medical School research needs.

Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $78,900.00 Midpoint $112,000.00 Maximum $145,100.00
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related filed and/or equivalent work experience
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
1+ years of experience working with health data
Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs
1+ year of data analytics experience using relational databases
1+ years of experience with SQL
1+ years of experience with MS SQL server, Oracle or other SQL RDMS as well as reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Crystal Reports, etc
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of the software development lifecycle
Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation within a centralized code repository
Ability to work in agile team structure
2+ years of healthcare research data analytics
Experience using Collibra or similar Data Governance platform
Clarity Certification
Experience with version control solutions
2+ years of healthcare analytics experience
2+ years of experience with SSRS, SSIS, Crystal Reports, and Tableau
Experience with Epic EMR system
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
