Position Summary: 
The Nurse Manager in Clinical Care Operations manages all functions of the medical center’s Transfer Center.  Primary responsibility will be to coordinate the timely and efficient transfer of patients from referring facilities or departments to appropriate levels of care within the hospital. The manager will lead a team of nurses and transfer coordinators, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration among various community hospitals, insurance companies, vendors, departments and stakeholders involved in patient transfers.  The manager has 24/7 leadership responsibility for the Transfer Center including clinical operations, staffing, quality assurance, compliance, data analytics and reporting, and financial management, ensuring operations function in a manner that complies with standards of practice.  The manager will implement strategies, processes, and standards to ensure operations support the key organizational and departmental initiatives such as quality of care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. The Transfer Center Manager will promote collegial relationships between community stakeholders, vendors, and other internal departments across the Medical Center.

Salary Range:
Annual Rate  Minimum  $112,100.00                       Midpoint            $176,100.00                       Maximum            $240,100.00
 
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science, Nursing
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commissions requirements
Prior management experience in an acute care setting
Strong analytical skills to analyze data, review trends and activities, and make recommendations for improvement
A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare leadership role, preferably overseeing a transfer center or patient flow process
Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient flow, and clinical processes.
Familiarity with transfer center software and technology systems.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as EMTALA and HIPAA.
Ability to be successful in a self-directed, self-motivated, fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities.
 
Licenses and Certifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support(Preferred)
Basic Life Support(Required)
Registered Nurse(Required)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
Experience as a nurse case manager
Prior experience managing a Transfer Center or Capacity Command Center
