Position Summary:

At the UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, we dedicate ourselves to the education of nursing professionals who improve patient care and promote community and population health, locally and globally, and we strive to produce leaders in research, education, and clinical practice who will champion collaborative, compassionate, and interdisciplinary evidence-based practice. The academic programs that the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing offers include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science, a Master of Science in Nursing Science, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing Science.

Incumbent independently works to build and strengthen the relationships within the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing and with key stakeholders by leading a variety of projects and resolving a variety of issues and situations within the school. Demonstrates proficiency in the identification and resolution of moderate to complex organizational issues. Works on strategic organizational consulting issues that are diverse in scope, where analysis of situations requires evaluation of various factors. Normally receives little instruction on planning, researching, and resolving organizational effectiveness issues, with general instructions and guidance provided on new assignments and / or more unique situations including strategic planning. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The incumbent is a critical representative of the dean on matters relating to the critical functions of the dean’s office. Supports the dean in directing and managing the short- and long-term critical priorities, initiatives, and activities that relate to current projects and goals that will enhance and transform the effectiveness and efficiency of the dean’s office.

$73,900.00 - $88,850.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $73,900.00 - $133,700.00 (Annual Salary)


 

Required:

Previous demonstrated work experience managing complex projects and/or initiatives Previous experience working in an academic school preferred

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Has thorough knowledge of the organizational development and effectiveness field, theories, models to assess, design and implement customized organizational interventions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions. Demonstrates analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skills. Skilled in facilitation, consulting and relationship building. Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize and generalize based on information obtained. Ability to focus on priorities, strategies, and vision. Ability to coach, facilitate, and influence people. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available. Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and change management principles. Excellent computer skills and experience with a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization. Ability to effectively communicate in English in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
