Position Summary: 

The Incumbent supports professional and technical respiratory personnel by accomplishing a variety of duties and procedures which are directly related to patient care.  Primary duties include setting up life support equipment, reviewing and adjusting respiratory care charges, performing EKG's, supporting respiratory staff, ordering respiratory supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe unit environment.  Will assist with stocking unit supplies, operating hospital equipment as directed, performing routine clerical tasks, and assisting with other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $25.03            Midpoint    $25.03            Maximum   $25.03

Required Qualifications:

BLS certification upon hire

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Familiarity with various pieces of clinical equipment and supplies

Must have working knowledge of PC Applications and specifically MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting

Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting.

Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac rhythms, basic 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac hemodynamics.

Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology

Previous experience as a hospital assistant
