Position Summary: 

The PRA II in Record Completion is responsible for analyzing patient record content in order to accurately assign documentation deficiencies to the responsible physician; communicating/coordinating with medical and house staff regarding healthcare record deficiencies; and providing assistance to phsycians in the completion of incomplete healthcare rcords and documents according to hospital by-laws, rules, regulations and JCAHO guidelines.  Prepares and complies daily, weekly and monthly statistical reports, ensuring integrity of chart deficiency databse, and participates in departmental PI projects.

Salary Range: 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $24.66                  Midpoint              $27.66               Maximum       $30.65



Required Qualifications: 

3 years experience working with hospital medical records

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in the department and across the Health System

Familiarity with alpha/numeric filing systems




Preferred Qualifications:

Credentialed as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or AAIR

Working knowledge of SoftMed ChartScript and Chart Fact

Knowledge of medical terminology

PC literacy
