Position Summary:
The incumbent provides subject matter expertise on complex psychosocial evaluation and treatment plans; oversees continuous quality improvement programs to enhance the delivery of clinical social work; develops and leads formal and informal teaching; supervises clinical support staff (i.e. social workers, CPSP health educators, chemical dependency counselor and registered dietitian). Oversees and/or supports special projects, programs, and grants for the Clinical Support Services. Maintains outpatient social work direct service caseload in addition to supervision and program management responsibilities.

Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $90,500.00 Midpoint $130,100.00 Maximum $169,700.00
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Skills to interpret and implement hospital, JCAHO, Health Department and Child Abuse Registry standards and regulations
Current Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system
Demonstrated work experience with diverse cultures and low-income populations including homeless
Knowledge of the application of diverse therapeutic approaches to treating psychosocial problems
Highly experienced in handling crisis situations.
Graduation with a Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Social Welfare
Strong leadership skills to help establish the department’s mission, policies and procedures.
Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job, as well as a strategic and creative approach.
Knowledge of critical thinking, problem solving and consensus building
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests and priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Previous experience working as a lead and/or supervisor
Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures
