Position Summary:
Sorts, locates and retrieves billing documents and patient account files. Assists with routine telephone inquiries, preparing patient files, answering routine billing questions, and maintaining patient account systems. Performs general clerical duties including copying, sorting, stapling and document delivery. Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $20.56 Midpoint $23.05 Maximum $25.54
Responsibilities:
Accurately prepares correspondence and documents
Effectively collects, complies and assembles data from patient records.
Obtains information from appropriate internal sources to answer questions
Effectively interprets and applies financial policies and guidelines
Provides effective administrative assistance as necessary
Obtains appropriate documentation to support claims or correspondence
Effectively answers phones and returns calls
Gathers information, performs basic analysis and summarizes information in a format suitable for presentation
Files documents according to unit standards
Required Qualifications:
Previous computer experience
Effective data and numerical data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic software programs, such as Excel, Word and Access
Knowledge of medical terminology
