Position Summary: 

This pharmacist performs the day-to-day responsibilities of drug replenishment/distribution, orders pharmacy supplies, and controls inventory while enforcing best practice protocols when managing prescription drugs and controlled substances stored in the ADCs and Anesthesia Carts in the Outpatient Surgery Suites (OSS). The incumbent also checks drug doses for appropriateness and processes sterile and non-sterile medication orders from OSS and Infusion Pharmacy as required. The incumbent performs therapeutic intervention as needed, provides drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, maintains patient profiles, conducts drug therapy monitoring, and performs and supports drug compounding. The Staff Pharmacist is also responsible for directing technicians, performing inventory control, and actively precepting pharmacy residents, students, technicians, or interns as assigned by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in the Pharmacy Policy.

Salary Range: 

Hourly Rate  Minimum     $77.84                   Midpoint   $85.44                   Maximum    $93.03

Required Qualifications:

Current BLS or ACLS upon hire

One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire

Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications: 

Pharm.D. highly desirable
