Position Summary: 

Incumbent orders, receives, distributes, and delivers linen supplies.  Checks, sorts, marks, folds, wraps, packs and distributes linen.  Cleans, and organizes the work areas.  Picks up soiled linen from departments. Creates and maintains appropriate inventory documentation.  Performs physical inventory counts.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $19.47             Midpoint       $21.59            Maximum    $23.71

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license

Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.

Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs

Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English

Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations

Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Inventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environment

Knowledge of hospital MMIS system

Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures
