Job Function Summary
Involves the development of and ensures compliance with clinical study protocols that involve human subjects. Oversees and resolves operational aspects of clinical studies or trials in conjunction with project teams and in accordance with standard operating procedures and good clinical practice and regulations. May be responsible for finances, clinical operations, and site and vendor selection.
Generic Scope
Provides direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees. Functions as advisor to unit and administration. Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
Custom Scope
The UCI-led All of Us Southern California Consortium (AoUSCC) focusing on precision medicine research is seeking to employ a Consortium Program Manager. Under the direction of the AoUSCC Principal Investigator, the Consortium Program Manager incumbent will oversee the development, implementation, and engagement, recruitment, and retention progress of the All of Us Southern California Consortium for the NIH funded All of Us Research Program, which includes but is not limited to the following activities: management and administration of operations including program planning, IRB, reporting to NIH, finance, human resources, IT, facilities, data entry and data management, coordination of activities and working directly with the Principal Investigator to coordinate and manage teams’ activities from several All of Us Research Program member institutions in Southern California to ensure deadlines and engagement, recruitment, and retention target metrics are met.
The AoUSCC led by UCI is a part of the larger research structure for the All of Us Research Program and the Genetic Epidemiology Research Institute (GERI) efforts including UCI faculty and researchers in furthering the science of precision medicine using the All of Us data. The Consortium Program Manager will have as one of their primary responsibilities to ensure that the research structure with GERI and expanded to other institutions in the catchment area of the AoUSCC to continue to produce research in precision medicine.
