Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, the incumbent will assist with the implementation of research protocols for human subjects experimental/clinical research studies. Incumbent will follow directions to assist with participant recruitment and enrollment and implement study protocols related to kidney disease. The Staff Research Associate I will assist with biological sample collections, processing, storage and shipments, as well as data collection of questionnaires, anthropometric measurements, and nutritional assessments among others. The Staff Research Associate I will help create data collection systems using existing software platforms, and monitor the integrity and accuracy of data collection. Incumbent will assist with IRB protocol management and other administrative duties related to the research study. The position requires travel in personal car throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

$24.05 - $26.19

Required:
1-3 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or related experience in Biological Sciences or management field.
Clear and professional communication skills; written and verbal.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, REDCap.
Organized and able to set task priorities.
Evidence of multi-tasking.
Prior research experience with demonstrated independent responsibilities and activities.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research protocols with critical attention to detail.
Preferred:
Spanish fluency (reading, writing, and conversing).
Vietnamese fluency (reading, writing, and conversing).
Experience with kidney disease research.
