Position Summary:
 
The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine offers three dynamic MBA programs – plus PhD, specialty masters and undergraduate business degrees – that prepare business leaders for our digitally driven world. Through our programs, students acquire the exceptional ability to grow their organizations through strategic innovation, analytical decision-making, digital information technology and collaborative execution. While the Merage School is relatively young, it has quickly grown to rank consistently among the top five percent of all business programs worldwide through exceptional student recruitment, world-class faculty, a strong alumni network and close relationships with both individual business executives and global corporations.
 
The TargetX Administrator will lead the ongoing development of the Merage School’s TargetX deployment. TargetX uses the SalesForce.com platform; therefore, the successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the SalesForce.com platform or other similar platforms. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new business processes related to Master’s programs in Business admissions and recruitment. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator and part SalesForce.com analyst. The TargetX Administrator will be responsible for execution of the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM platform.

Required:
 
At least 5 years of experience working as a database administrator. Minimum two (2) years of experience as a SalesForce.com administrator
Experience working with a Master’s Program in Business.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of database management systems and standards. Knowledge relating to database system design. Advanced database querying and modeling skills working with moderately complex databases. Knowledge relating to capacity planning and interface specifications. Knowledgeable about professional approaches and relevant standards and technology for management of unstructured data such as text and images. Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making; problem identification and resolution; identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance through application configuration and programming techniques. Has effective written / verbal communication skills. Demonstrates reasoning and ability to develop original ideas to solve problems. Demonstrates interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, service orientation, active listening, effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills. Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage laterally and upwards. Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude. Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on current recruiting solutions performance and make recommendations to address change. Strong understanding of the platform with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, reports, and other content of intermediate complexity. Strong understanding of SalesForce.com best practices and functionality.
 
Preferred:
 
Master's degree in Business
General understanding of information systems architectures and recruiting systems data flows. Aware of the current recruiting systems product marketplace in academia and in schools of business.
