The academic programs that the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing offers include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science, a Master of Science in Nursing Science, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing Science.
 
Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean of Administration, the incumbent will lead and manage all academic personnel matters for the School of Nursing. Provide Associate Dean, Dean and Faculty Affairs Chair with administrative guidance on AP and HR matters. Serves as a resource and reports to manager or senior managers. Develop internal policies relating to processes for AP and HR actions within the school. Analyze academic personnel dossiers and supporting materials for adherence to policy. Independently manage all aspects of senate, non-senate, research, and staff personnel actions for the School of Nursing. Responsible for managing and facilitating all employment requests to Health Science HR related to employee level changes to include recruitments, appointments, equity, reclassifications, leaves of absences, etc. The position will also have oversight of the school’s academic affairs function, acting as the content expert and advising school leadership on academic practices, policies, and procedures.

Required:
 
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Broad knowledge of complex personnel, compensation, and related policies and procedures for academic employees.
Requires a strong understanding of the organizational structure and responsibilities of unit.
Requires understanding of HR and related databases.
Ability to develop creative solutions which may have no precedent.
Requires innovation, in-depth knowledge of organizational and university policies and operational procedures.
Strong decision making, analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and resource management skills.
