Position Summary: 
Reporting to The Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Outreach Manager is responsible for all outreach programs of the Department of Pathology, including patient care, research, and marketing of outreach services. The incumbent engages in strategic planning and market analysis to identify growth opportunities, identifies the appropriate resources to ensure quality services, develops standards and best practices, and ensures all regulatory requirements are met. The Director of Laboratory Outreach Services serves as a liaison between the Pathology Chair’s Office and the Medical Center. The Director manages functional operations including courier activities, mobile phlebotomy, patient service centers, community-based laboratories, and client services with attention on controlling costs and demonstrating a positive margin with the outreach business.
 
 
Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $93,700.00                 Midpoint       $152,500.00             Maximum             $211,300.00

Strong organizational and leadership skills to solve complex issues. Ability to interact and negotiate in a professional manner with a variety of highly influential entities, Senior Leadership, Medical Center and School of Medicine Leadership, Faculty, and staff
5+ years’ applicable experience of management in a complex organization
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in laboratory business and marketing oversight
Experience working in an academic environment
Experience working in a union environment
