Position Summary: 
Incumbent fills an essential role in the overall success of UCI Health. Leads and conducts data analytic functions to support UCI Health's Strategy and Performance Management teams as well as other departments across the organization. Assesses complex healthcare business problems using related data sets to provide insight to decision makers. The analyst will collaborate with UCI leaders and business owners to gather, clarify and analyze data to provide guidance for business intelligence decisions. This position will use OSHPD, finance, operational, and other healthcare market data and software tools to provide insight, recommendations, and context for strategic decisions. Partners with internal and external clients to deliver data driven insights that support decision making throughout the organization. Performs with a high level of judgement and discretion to define, develop and implement work related to data sourcing, availability, usage and application, to promote the availability and quality of data across the organization, and conducts analyses of data to support strategic decision making.
 
 
Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $86,900.00                           Midpoint               $136,200.00                         Maximum             $185,500.00
 
 
Required Qualifications:
 
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong facilitation skills
Understands and has significant experience in the use of tools for process improvement to include lean methodologies, project management, change management, and other improvement techniques
Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project
Experience developing and/or maintaining progress reporting scorecards or dashboards
Effective communicator able to understand the needs of a variety of audience members and tailor a message accordingly
Results-oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker
Analytical ability to develop, analyze and interpret application of data
Proven ability to quickly develop credibility with various/all constituencies
Bachelor's degree
Internal or external process improvement, management consulting or strategy consulting (or equivalent experience)
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Ability to maintain an organized approach, clarity of purpose, and goal orientation in a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders of various levels from throughout the organization.
Must be results-driven to drive quantifiable results
Understanding of business planning including analysis, budgeting, feasibility studies, and implementation.
Ability to plan, set expectations (for self and others), and accomplish multiple objectives within specific timeframes.
Proficiency in healthcare planning tools and databases (e.g., OSHPD, Sg2, Advisory Board, Tableau, etc.)
Good team leadership and motivational skills and good creative problem solving skills
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Knowledge of healthcare market, government rules and regulations
