Position Summary:
 
The ENT-HNS Irvine Practice Site Admitting Worker (AW) provides customer service to all ages of patients who seek and obtain medical or cosmetic services from our physicians. The AW greets patients, determines insurance eligibility, schedules, reschedules, cancels and confirms appointments. This role supports the nursing staff and MD's with all front-office responsibilities and ensures collection of all insurance co-pay and deductible, as well as self-pay collections. They must have proven cash handling skills and reconciliation. They apply appropriate credit to accounts, review patient issues with billing coordinator and supervisor when necessary.

Ability to greet patients, vendors, university officials and the general public by telephone and in person. Able to provide information about UCI and the center as requested. Maintain office suite in a presentable manner. Distribute mailings. Copy and file records. Verify complete information on records.
